Once you graduate from this one-year licensed practical nurse training program, you will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam, or the National Council Licensure Examination designed for Practical Nurses. Every licensed practical nurse or registered nurse has to sit for this examination in all the 50 states of the US, and the LPN training program will provide you with all the theoretical knowledge in pharmacology, biology, anatomy, physiology and all the skills in nursing that you will need later, in your career.

In order to enroll in a LPN training program, you must have a high school grade point average of at least 2.0, you must provide one or more letters of recommendation from your high school teachers and you must be at least 18 years of age. After sitting for the NCLEX-PN examination and passing it, you will be able to apply for the license with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and after you receive it, you will be able to work legally as a licensed practical nurse in Pennsylvania
