How To Become RN In Colorado

If your purpose is to pursue a career as a registered nurse in the state of Colorado, then the first thing you have to do is to complete an accredited professional program that offers specialized training in the field of nursing. You have two options when it comes to these programs: you can either opt for a two-year program that will eventually result in an Associate’s of Applied Science degree, or a program that will result in an Associate’s
degree in the Nursing field.

On the other hand, if you want to take your nursing career to the next level and make the best of it, then you can also apply for a four-year training program offered by an approved institution, that will result in a BSN or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. The good news is that there are some accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing training programs available, which means that you can pursue your BSN degree in less than four years – these accelerated programs can last even less than the Associate’s degree training program, and they can be completed within 12 to 18 months. In addition to this, registered nurses can also apply for an accelerated Master’s degree training program in the Science of Nursing, which will require an additional 36 months of training.

Nursing Schools In Colorado

There are numerous nursing schools in Colorado for those who want to pursue a career as registered nurses or licensed nurses in this state, and one of the most prominent ones is certainly the College of Nursing, within the University of Colorado, which has a very long history of nursing education in the West. In addition to this, the University of Northern Colorado also has a School of Nursing that offers training in the field, and that is approved by the CSBN, or the Colorado State Board of Nursing. This school is also accredited by the CCNE, or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and all the graduates that complete the BSN training program here are able to sit for the BCLEX-RN licensure examination.

Another popular institution that offers advanced and high-quality training in the Science of Nursing is the Denver School of Nursing, which conducts periodical program and institutional assessments. The school provides two programs: an AND Associate Degree in Nursing Program, as well as a BSN program (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), both of which have received their accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for the Education in Nursing, which was previously known as the NLNAC, or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
